Henrique Oliveira holds a BA degree in Visual Arts (Painting) from ECA-USP and in Communication from ESPM. He also holds a Master degree in Visual Poetics from ECA-USP.

In 2018, Henrique Oliveira developed his first site specific in Brazil: a permanent installation fixed at the main stair of Villa Aymoré, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The project was comissioned by Instituto PIPA  and after nearly three months of work it was finally inaugureted in December 2018.  Titled “Desnatureza 3”, the installation – that resemble somewhat a tree trunk – deals with the ambivalence between art and culture and the notions of cicle and renovation.

Some of his most recent exhibitions include: IX Enku Grand Award – Museum of Fine Arts (Gifu, Japan, 2018); Van de Weghe Gallery (New York, USA, 2017); Galeria Millan (São Paulo, Brazil, 2016); “Fissure”, Galerie Georges-Phillipe & Nathalie Vallois (Paris, France, 2015); “Adenocalcinoma Poliresidual”, Arthur Ross Gallery (Philadelphia ,USA, 2014); “Transarquitetônica”, MAC-USP (São Paulo, SP, 2014); “Baitogogo”, Palais de Tokyo ( Paris, France, 2013) and Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (Boulder, USA, 2011) among others.

His works are part of several Collections of Institutions around the world, such as: Museum of Fine Arts (Gifu, Japan), VMFA Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (Richmond, USA), Queensland Art Gallery / Gallery of Modern Art (Brisbane, Australia), MAM-Rio (Rio de Janeiro, RJ), Pinacoteca Municipal de São Paulo, Instituto Itaú Cultural, Museu Afro-Brasil (São Paulo, SP), among others.
